Travel Guide: Pakistan

Welcome to the essential guide for your travel to Pakistan. We’ve compiled key information on entry requirements, customs, and local tips to ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip.

Visa: Most travellers need an eVisa via the official NADRA portal. Processing takes 7–10 working days.
Passport Validity: Must be valid for at least six months beyond departure and have two blank pages.
Health Declaration: May be required upon arrival, including potential random COVID-19 testing. Check for updates closer to your travel date.
Polio Vaccination: Proof of vaccination administered within the last year may be required upon departure.

Foreign Currency (Entry): Up to USD 10,000 without declaration. Amounts over this must be declared.
Foreign Currency (Departure): Limit of USD 5,000 per person per trip (max $30,000/year).
Prohibited Items: Narcotics, unlicensed firearms, and explosives. Drones require prior approval.
Allowed Items: Alcohol and tobacco products are permitted in limited quantities for personal use.

Local Currency: Pakistani Rupee (PKR). Exchange services are available at airports and banks.
ATMs: Widely available in urban areas. Visa and MasterCard are accepted. Notify your bank of your travel dates.
Credit Cards: Accepted in major hotels, restaurants, and shops. Smaller establishments prefer cash.
